OREANDA-NEWS. As part of the initiatives of the Global Month of Caring aligned with the company’s health strategy, Ford Argentina organized a solidarity race on September 25. Over 1000 employees signed up to donate non-perishable food in exchange for a running kit and more than 500 ran or walked the 5km circuits at Pacheco Plant facilities.

As a result, around five tons of food and hygiene products were collected to be sent to three schools in vulnerable conditions located in Purmamarca (Jujuy province, in northern Argentina). These schools are sponsored by the Henry Ford Technical School.

Additionally, medical check-ups, physical training and warm-ups were offered for runners before the race. These activities were organized by the Medical Service of Ford Argentina and the company’s running team.

Ford Runs not only allowed employees to be part of a solidarity initiative, sharing a moment of integration with their co-workers, but also fostered healthy habits this sport.
