OREANDA-NEWS. Canon Inc. today announced the successful conclusion of a patent infringement dispute (A40-171039/14) in Russia pending before Moscow State Arbitration Court against the ООО Softtrade company's alleged infringement of Canon's Russian Patent No. 2467370. The lawsuit concerned the offering and sale of certain toner cartridges for use in various models of Hewlett-Packard laser beam printers.

In its ruling, dated September 8, 2015, the Court has satisfied all the claims of Canon Inc. and has obliged the company ООО Softtrade to stop selling and to refrain from selling the goods in which the invention under the Russian patent 2467370 is used; to withdraw from ООО "Softtrade" and to destroy at its own expense cartridges, infringing said patent; and to oblige ООО "Softtrade" to publish at its own expense the Court decision concerning this suit in the official bulletin of the Federal executive authority on intellectual property. A declaratory decision on liability for damages is also included in the decision. The decision entered into legal force.
