OREANDA-NEWS. October 23, 2015. Employees at a CMS Energy facility in Bellevue recently won the grand prize in the companywide Ethics in Action awards. The program recognizes employees who collectively display the highest commitment to compliance and ethical standards.

Bellevue management and employees were honored at a ceremony in East Lansing. The facility also earned the opportunity to select a local nonprofit organization to receive a \\$5,000 grant from the company.

“Giving back is a key component of what it means to function as a highly ethical and sustainable company,” said David Mengebier, chief compliance officer for CMS Energy and its primary business, Consumers Energy.

About 100 employees work at the Bellevue facility, which opened in 2013 and serves as a hub for the Enhanced Infrastructure Replacement Project (EIRP), a major initiative to replace natural gas pipeline throughout the company’s service territory.

CMS Energy honored One Energy Plaza and the Commonwealth Commerce Center, both in Jackson, as finalists. Those facilities will select local nonprofits to receive \\$1,000 grants. Eight individual employees also were recognized.

“We’re proud to recognize these employees who work each day to help us promote a strong culture of ethics and compliance,” Mengebier said.
