OREANDA-NEWS. October 26, 2015. Horimoto Co., Ltd. (Head office: Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo; President: Kazuharu Horimoto; Main business: Restaurant management; “Horimoto”) will open their blue fin tuna restaurant “Nama Honmaguro Isshin” in Hacchobori, Chuo-ku, Tokyo. The restaurant will serve farm-raised fish exclusively, chief of which is the “Takashima blue fin tuna” raised by Sojitz subsidiary Sojitz Tuna Farm Takashima (Head office: Takashima-cho, Matsuura-shi, Nagasaki Prefecture; President: Hiroyuki Oonishi).

The restaurant aims to have customers “eat their fill of delicious fish.” Rather than naturally-raised fish which vary in quantity and quality depending on the season, the restaurant deals in high-quality fish bred in captivity, which can be acquired year-round, thereby enabling a steady supply of fish guaranteed to satisfy customers.

In recent years, consumers have shown a greater interest in product quality. For the food service industry to continue to satisfy customers, they need to not only provide better tasting products, but also carefully choose their food brands and production sources.

Instead of simply expanding the scale of the business, ”Honmaguro Nama Isshin” will instead meet customers’ needs by providing high-quality food products carefully raised by farmers and served with Japanese hospitality.
