OREANDA-NEWS. Russia's Titan-2 - the main building contractor for Fennovoima's Hanhikivi 1 nuclear power plant project in Finland - has signed a contract with Finland's Wasa Dredging Oy Limited for the dredging of the habour basin at Hanhikivi. Under the contract announced today by Fennovoima, the value of which has not been disclosed, Wasa will extract 200,000 cubic meters of soil from the harbour basin. The work will begin this month and last between four and six weeks. Construction of the Hanhikivi plant is scheduled to start in 2018.
