OREANDA-NEWS. Taiwan's state-owned refiner and petrochemical producer CPC is restarting today its residual fluid catalytic cracker (RFCC) at Dalin in Kaohsiung after a turnaround.

The RFCC, which produces 400,000 t/yr of propylene, was shut on 20 August for an extended turnaround.

It had already suffered mechanical disruptions in March and June this year. The normal operating rate at the unit is about 70-75pc.

CPC's smaller RFCC at Dalin, which produces 90,000 t/yr of propylene, is running at full operating rates.
