In order to implement the strategic initiatives of the Head of State of Kazakhstan and China on the global infrastructure integration, development of transit potential and the revival of the Silk Road "The economic belt of the Silk Road" and "Nurly Zhol", as well as agreed by the Coordination Committee for the development of the Trans-Caspian international transport routes in October of this year, today in the city of Chongqing, China held a round table on the topic "Development of the Trans-Caspian international transport routes", which was attended by representatives of the railways, maritime administrations and transport and logistics companies in China, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan and Georgia.

Trans-Caspian international transport routes (TMTM) - a project initiated to improve transit potential and development of the countries of the Caspian region. This route runs from China through Kazakhstan, the Caspian Sea, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Turkey and further to Europe.

In July this year It launched the first container train «Nomad Express» from China (Shihezi) - Kazakhstan (Dostyk-Aktau port) - Azerbaijan (Kishly). Distance length is 4726 km of the train crossed in just 6 days. Today, negotiations with the Chinese side on the organization of the next container service «Nomad Express» from China - Kazakhstan - Azerbaijan - Turkey (Istanbul). Managing Director for Logistics of JSC NC "KTZ" Arman Sultanov said that by 2020 the total capacity of transit in the direction of China - Turkey will be about 180 thousand TEUs.

"We have recently joined the Coordinating Committee TMTM and have to work together to develop the technology of container trains pass, prior information and cooperation with customs authorities in order to reduce the transit time of container trains. We are ready to cooperate and develop the route, which is an important element in the implementation of China's state program "The economic belt of the Silk Road" - said Deputy general director «Minsheng Logistics Co. Arman Sultanov also said that the success of this project can only be achieved if a concerted effort throughout the multimodal transport chain Committee member countries, thereby ensuring high-quality service, the best delivery time and competitive tariff policy.
