OREANDA-NEWS. November 26, 2015. PhotonStar LED Group Plc (AIM: PSL, "PhotonStar" or "the Group"), the British designer and manufacturer of smart LED lighting solutions, has installed a circadian lighting system into an Oliver Heath Design feature at Sleep: The Hotel Design Event. The installation included PhotonStar's proprietary halcyonTM wireless lighting control system and halcyonLIFETM biologically optimised LED luminaires.

The feature is one of five at the show and is expected to be seen by majority of the 4,000 visitors. The show attracts leading hotel owners, operators, designers, architects, investors, developers, contractors and consultants from throughout Europe and beyond; each component of the event provides this hugely influential audience with valuable insights into the very latest industry and design directions.

Oliver Heath Design aims to raise awareness of the psychological and physiological benefits of nature inspired or 'biophilic' design with the feature.

Oliver Heath, founder of Oliver Heath Design and TV presenter, is a leading figure in biophilic design, sustainable architectural and interior design. Biophilic design is a concept based on the idea that we all possess an innate connection to the natural world which can have many health and wellbeing benefits for people. The circadian lighting system was specified to add to the health and wellbeing benefits and complete the health focussed design.

Sleep is Europe's only event dedicated to hotel design, development and architecture. Sleep 2015 runs from 24-25 November at the Business Design Centre, London.

James McKenzie, PhotonStar CEO, said:

"Sleep is fundamental to the business of hotels and circadian lighting can make a key contribution in this regard. The sleep and health benefits and the cost effectiveness of retrofitting our halcyonTM wireless lighting and control systems make them extremely well suited to the hospitality sector."
