OREANDA-NEWS. National Rating Agency has affirmed its national scale 'BBB+' reliability rating on BARREL investment Management Company LLC. NRA's first-time reliability rating of 'A-' was assigned to the company in 2007 and downgraded to 'BBB+' in 2008. It was affirmed at this level in 2014.

The affirmed rating is supported by the company's earnings generation capacity, extensive and fairly diversified customer base, long track record of market operations, experienced and highly-skilled management team, as well as itys transparency and visibility.

The rating is constrained by BARREL's stagnating operating performance.

BARREL was founded in 1994 by NITEK Oil Corporation and later bought out by its top management, whereupon it became an independent player in the Russian stock market. The company offers brokerage services to individuals and corporate entities, providing access to the securities and futures sections on the Moscow Exchange. It also offers depository services, trust asset management and access to the internet trading system. The company ranked 31st by total turnover and 53rd by equity in NRA 's ranking as of Mar. 31, 2015.
