OREANDA-NEWS. Gazpromneft Aero, operator of the Gazprom Neft aviation refuelling business, has delivered more than 750,000 tonnes of wing-tip fuel supplies to the Aeroflot fleet — an increase of more than 75 percent on 2014 levels — of which domestic supplies total more than 650,000 tonnes.

Gazpromneft Aero currently supplies the Aeroflot fleet through its own refuelling complexes, located at airports in Moscow, St Petersburg, Kemerovo, Krasnoyarsk, Omsk, Orsk and Tomsk. All complexes operated by the company have been awarded the highest possible status in aviation refuelling by the International Air Transport Association (IATA). The Gazpromneft Aero complex at Sheremetyevo has the most up-to-date and environmentally friendly infrastructure in Russia.

Total supplies made to Aeroflot through Gazpromneft Aero’s international network showed a two-fold increase in 2015, to 105,000 tonnes. The company supplies fuel to the airline at airports at the most popular locations in Bulgaria, Dubai, Israel, Serbia, Spain, Thailand and Vietnam, with international supplies made in partnership with local fuel suppliers.

Gazpromneft Aero CEO Vladimir Egorov commented: “Ongoing collaboration with Aeroflot marks a major step in meeting Gazpromneft Aero’s strategic objectives. Extending our partnership with the market leader in the Russian aviation industry contributes to both raising domestic standards in aviation refuelling, and in strengthening Gazpromneft Aero’s position on the international market. We expect to further extend the geographic range of our collaboration with Aeroflot throughout 2016.”
