Northrop Grumman Highlights Global Security Capabilities at Singapore Airshow
OREANDA-NEWS. Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE:NOC) will highlight its broad range of global security capabilities at the Singapore Airshow, Asia's largest aerospace and defence event. The biennial event is Feb. 16-21 at the Changi Exhibition Centre, near Changi Airport. Northrop Grumman's Chalet is No. CD01.
"The Asia Pacific region is extremely important to Northrop Grumman, particularly as we broaden our global focus," said Brian Kim, chief executive, Northrop Grumman Korea. "We will continue working closely with our partners in the region by providing the most advanced long-term solutions to help meet their defence and security needs."
The company's airborne surveillance and advanced situational awareness capabilities will be showcased through visual displays of unmanned helicopters and high-altitude, long-endurance unmanned aircraft systems.
Northrop Grumman's industry-leading airborne fire control radars such as a model of the company's latest active electronically scanned array (AESA) fighter radar, the APG-83 Scalable Agile Beam Radar (SABR) will be on hand at the show. SABR is a mature multifunction AESA radar that provides 5th generation radar capabilities to the F-16.
The company will showcase its C4ISR capabilities with space, air, land, sea and cyber examples. Executives will also be able to discuss Northrop Grumman's expertise in global aircraft sustainment and modernization. An exhibit featuring a center wing box restoration solution for legacy C-130 aircraft, including a 3-D immersive environment demonstration will be on display.
