OREANDA-NEWS. For the third consecutive year, BNY Mellon has been named as a Caring Company for its commitment in caring for its employees, community and environment in Hong Kong.

In 2015, BNY Mellon employees in Hong Kong worked with local charities and volunteered almost 600 hours across various initiatives including a job shadowing program for marginalized youth, collecting donations for refugees and asylum seekers, preparing rescued food for the underprivileged communities and participating in a beach clean-up.

“We have developed a number of strategic partnerships with local charity partners across the region and are delighted to be nominated again by one of them, Helping Hand,” said Karen Green, Director of International Community Affairs, BNY Mellon. “Being awarded for the third consecutive year is a testament to our commitment to enabling positive change in the local communities in which we operate.”

The Caring Company Scheme launched by The Hong Kong Council of Social Service aims to promote good corporate citizenship and awards companies that focus on the needs of the community.
