OREANDA-NEWS. February 12, 2016. Meeting the growing social, lifestyle and fitness needs of its active residents, Carolina Arbors by

Del Webb announced today the planned grand opening of Piedmont Hall Amenity Center on Saturday, Feb. 13, 2016. The community's resident ambassador will be providing guided tours of the custom-designed 37,000-square-foot facility.

"Piedmont Hall is the perfect venue to encourage social interaction, physical fitness and continuous learning for our residents," said

David Carrier, Raleigh division president of PulteGroup, the parent company of

Del Webb.  "As with all

Del Webb communities, we know our homeowners are here for the active lifestyle Carolina Arbors has to offer and we're excited to provide them an amenity complex that truly meets their needs."

Some of Piedmont Hall's offerings include an indoor pool & spa, billiards, state-of-the-art recreation and fitness center, varsity rooms, aerobic exercise rooms, ceramics room, ballroom and more. The amenity center offers residents the flexibility of staging indoor and outdoor social events simultaneously while giving the residents a way to expand their social circle. According to

Kellie Criscoe, the HOA Manager, the community already has 50+ established clubs and groups that are focused around residents' social, fitness and educational pursuits.

In addition to Piedmont Hall's offerings, the community also has an outdoor saline pool, tennis and bocce courts, over 8,000 square feet of covered outdoor spaces, a botanical garden, walking and jogging trails, and courts for the hottest active adult sports craze: pickleball.  A dog park and community garden is planned to open later in 2016.

"More than 500 of our current residents recently attended one of several planned Resident Grand Opening Parties and tested out the dance floor where they danced the night away in celebration of this state of the art facility. Others celebrated the indoor pool with a beach ball party and all jumped in together.  Now that's taking advantage of the lifestyle."
