OREANDA-NEWS. National Rating Agency has affirmed its ‘RM2' (high risk management quality) rating on Metallinvestbank JSCB. NRA’s first-time risk management quality rating was assigned to the bank on Feb. 4, 2013 and affirmed each consecutive year.

The company pays much attention to its enterprise risk management (ERM) system development and follows a conservative resource allocation policy. Metallinvestbank’s risk management practices are consistent with its business profile and specifics and its growth prospects. The existing EPM system is largely integrated into the bank’s business processes; enables an effective risk management, monitoring and control. The bank has collective decision-making bodies, and a clear division of responsibilities is evident.

NRA notes the increase in the bank’s non-performing loans, which however is typical of the banking sector in general. In addition, the economic turbulence prevented Metallinvestbank from carrying out the automation of the scoring models for its product line (not urgent in the current operating environment), and from expanding its expanding its related businesses, thereby affecting the bank’s operations in general.
