OREANDA-NEWS. February 15, 2016. A new high-end center console fiberglass pontoon model enters the boating market

The V series combines a comprehensive and innovative list of features and amenities that has been long desired by consumers, but has not been available in the pontoon market.

The V270 features a unique interpretation of a center console design. This is the first-ever aluminum pontoon boat to come standard with a full pump-out marine head compartment with freshwater shower, molded-in sink, vanity compartment and stainless-steel faucet that is supported by 24-gallon freshwater and 15-gallon blackwater tank—all recessed below deck level in the center tube. Adjoined to the center console is a galley with a faucet, sink and a stainless steel refrigerator–perfect for entertaining the entire day.

Debuting at the 2016 Miami Boat Show, the V series is shown in the only available length, the 270, and is powered by Mercury 400R Verado. Harris President, Nick Stickler, said about the new model, “Simply said, the V270 is built to perfection. The V270 will make your days on the water fun and stress free because it offers what boaters have been asking for—the stability and ease of boarding of a pontoon with the conviences found on off-shore center console boats.”

The double-helm seats feature slider bases and powered backrests that are designed for reversible seating configurations, which allow the captain and first mate to engage in the boating conversation or power forward toward the final destination fun spot. The console utilizes large touch screen displays, chrome gauges and built-in speaker system to improve the user experience. The aft fiberglass door serves as an additional passenger seat.

The V270 optional hardtop adds that extra comfort of shade and protection while you and your group mingle, snack and converse among the exquisite articulating cockpit table. The optional teak table converts at ease into three different pieces—a full size, a partial size or a slide-away to accomdate conversations and passage through to the rest of the boat.

The fiberglass exterior on the V270 will be sure to grab attention. The standard portside double doors provide 56-inches of water entry/exit—the widest in the market. For boarding, the portside discretely conceals two telescopic ladders below the double doors that are built into the deck, between the cross members for maximum accessibility. The starboard side also utilizes a concealed telescopic boarding ladder below the door providing access from the water no matter which side of the boat you are on.At the stern, there is a power deploying and retracting ladder operated by foot controls to facilitate easy ladder usage.

From the revolutionary head compartment in the center console, to the integrated swim latters, the V series adds to the already stellar Harris lineup. Bring family and friends together and experience the water in comfort.
