OREANDA-NEWS. February 19, 2016. Embracing e-bikes and ride sharing helped Ford Motor Company earn the No. 2 spot on Fast Company’s 2016 Top 10 Most Innovative Companies in Automotive.

“As cities become more crowded, owning a car is less feasible, a trend that automakers would like to ignore. Not carmaker Ford,” states Fast Company in its online article.

The article goes on to say that Ford’s competitive advantage in 2016 is being ahead of the curve in embracing the future of car sales.

“(Ford) is the No. 1 brand in vehicle sales in the U.S. It has an already existing base of loyal customers and an established brand.”

Fast Company releases its annual list to honor “leading enterprises and rising newcomers that exemplify the best in business and innovation.”
