Business Partnership for Sales of Low-voltage Electricity
OREANDA-NEWS. Tokyo Gas Co., Ltd., 10 gas companies that are recipients of wholesale city gas of Tokyo Gas and 27 LPG distributers have each agreed upon a business partnership (hereinafter "the partnership") for sales of low-voltage electricity to residential and business customers.
Through this partnership, total 42 companies (the number of customers: about 860 thousand) have each agreed with Tokyo Gas for sales of low-voltage electricity to residential and business customers. And supply and sales area of these companies expands to Tokyo and seven prefectures.
Tokyo Gas will launch sales of low-voltage electricity to residential and business customers beginning in April 2016 primarily within its supply area in the Kanto region. Through this partnership with these companies, Tokyo Gas seeks to expand its electricity sales beyond its current city gas supply area.
Together with contributing to stable electricity supplies, lower electricity rates, and greater freedom of choice for their customers, Tokyo Gas will continue to work to improve the lives of our customers and to increase our business value.
