OREANDA-NEWS. The compact hatchback Fiat Panda by the results of January entered the top-five best-selling models in Europe, by showing the highest growth in sales in the top-10. As it was noted in the research company JATO Dynamics, the breakthrough of this city car was made possible by the growth of sales in the Italian market (+ 42%), which has 86% of sales of Panda in Europe.

According to JATO Dynamics, the best-selling model in Europe in January was Volkswagen Golf, whose sales were 26.1 thousand cars (-7%). Second place went to Volkswagen Polo, sales of which increased by 9% to 17.5 thousand cars. The third result was shown by the Ford Fiesta, which was chosen by 16.1 thousand European buyers (-4%). Then Fiat Panda follows - sales of this model were 15.6 thousand units (+ 32%). The top-five of leaders is closed by Peugeot 208, which sold 15 thousand units (+ 26%). The top-10 of best selling models in Europe also includes Renault Clio (14,3 thous. units, -6%), Opel / Vauxhall Corsa (13,6 thous. units, -14%), Nissan Qashqai (12, 4 thousand units, -2%), Audi A3 (12,3 thous. units, + 9%) and Peugeot 308 (11.7 thous. units, + 11%).
