Power management company Eaton today announced the release of its new Crouse-Hinds® series HazardGard® XPL linear light-emitting diode (LED) luminaires for harsh and hazardous environments. The low profile light fixture is designed to help petroleum refineries, chemical facilities and other heavy process industries reduce energy, maintenance and labor costs. With the Hazard?Gard XPL luminaires, Eaton is delivering industry-leading efficiency with 120 lumens-per-watt (LPW).

With a rugged and durable design, the HazardGard XPL LED light fixtures are engineered to withstand demanding conditions in Class I, Division 1 hazardous area environments, while delivering a long life. Eaton’s newest Crouse-Hinds series lighting technology is rated to provide up to of 100,000 hours of continuous operation, which reduces maintenance and lowers total cost of ownership.

With a height under 5 inches, the HazardGard XPL is designed for confined spaces and low mounting heights. The XPL LED includes versatile and flexible mounting options for indoor and outdoor applications.

The HazardGard XPL LED light fixtures are Underwriters Laboratories® (UL) listed to meet National Electrical Code® (NEC) and Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) requirements and are built to withstand extreme temperatures, vibration, water and dust.
