OREANDA-NEWS. In January-February 2016 Nika-Tera sea terminal (Nika-Tera LLC is part of Group DF) has carried out the transshipment of 355.5 K tons of cargo. Crops amounted to 49.3% (175.1 K tons) in the total turnover, mineral fertilizers - 27% (96.2 K tons), bulk cargo - 23.7% (84.2 K tons).

"For the first two months there was a slight revival of handling such type of fertilizer as potassium chloride, which is supplied to the Turkish market. At the same time, we have seen a slight decrease in the volume of grain transshipment. The reason for this is the uncertainty of the return of preferential VAT regime for agricultural producers", the Chairman of Nika-Tera LLC Alexandr Haydu said.

According to the Chairman of the terminal, Nika-Tera has already signed new contracts with new customers in the handling of refractory clay, which amounts currently 17% in the total volume of cargo transshipment. There are also talks on the resumption of the transit of coal production.

In 2016, Nika-Tera has started a trial handling of chipped wood. "In case of a successful experiment, we will consider the work in this direction in the long term", Alexandr Haydu added.
