OREANDA-NEWS. Year-end results for 2015 show Gazpromneft Lubricants (operator of the Gazprom Neft lubricants business) having achieved a 69-percent increase in sales of G-Energy branded products — up from 19,000 to 32,000 tonnes. This record-breaking performance has been achieved, predominantly, through higher sales of synthetic and polysynthetic motor oils via the company’s own retail network and repair and service centres.

Total sales of Gazpromneft Lubricants’ products were up 11 percent in 2015, to 528,000 tonnes, of which premium products (in Russia and abroad) accounted for 222,000 tonnes — 24 percent more than in 2014.

Last year also saw a significant increase in the company’s geographic range, with Gazpromneft Lubricants entering new markets in India, Vietnam, Croatia and Cyprus. G-Energy and Gazpromneft branded products are now sold in 57 markets worldwide.

An initiative to develop G-Energy Service vehicle repair and service facilities saw 20 new service centres opened in major cities including St Petersburg, Oryol, Yerevan, Brest, Tbilisi, Astana, Perm and elsewhere. New service centres are planned throughout Russia, the CIS and Western Europe in 2016, as well as in the Middle East and other regions in which the company operates. This initiative allows Gazpromneft Lubricants to help partnering service centres in sourcing equipment, training personnel, undertaking marketing activities, and advertising. All service centres under the G-Energy Service brand are fitted out to the same design and style, fully equipped with the latest technology, and built in line with the latest industrial and ecological safety standards.

The company continues to improve its G-Energy and Gazprom Neft branded products — something it undertakes by putting its lubricants and engine fluids to the ultimate test under the extreme conditions of rally raiding. Specialists from Gazpromneft Lubricants last year undertook more than 100 race-track tests of various kinds. In the Dakar Rally alone, in which G-Energy Racing lubricants were used by the G-Energy and MAZ-SPORT Auto teams, a special mobile laboratory allowed more than 45 specialist tests to be undertaken, confirming the quality of the lubricants used.

Alexander Trukhan, CEO, Gazpromneft Lubricants, commented: “Company strategy is aimed at achieving technological leadership of the Russian market. To that end, we are making considerable investments in improving the quality of our lubricants, relying on innovation and the latest technological processes. As a result of which, our products in no way fall short of the quality of lubricants from international producers — the industry leaders. We are committed to continuing to improve our products in line with market needs.”
