OREANDA-NEWS. April 07, 2016. Belgian media got to put the all-new Focus RS through its paces on road and racetrack during a special event held near the town of Mettet last month.

Journalists drove Ford’s 350PS hatchback on a variety of road surfaces before experiencing the car’s full performance potential at the Circuit Jules Tacheny. Ford’s award-winning vehicle dynamics specialist David Put was on hand to demonstrate drift mode and to give passenger rides around the track.

Ford’s guests also had the opportunity to chat with the proud owners of a host of desirable RS heritage cars including a 1971 Capri RS 2600, a 1974 Escort MK1 RS2000, a 1987 Sierra RS500 Cosworth, and a 1990 Fiesta RS Turbo.

More than 300 orders have been placed for the new Focus RS in Belgium since the car first went on sale.
