OREANDA-NEWS. In March, Surgutskaya GRES-2 in 20 days performed regular maintenance of power unit No. 4 enabling the stable operation of the equipment till the overhaul scheduled for 2017.

Since the 17th of March, Surgutskaya GRES-2 has been performing the maintenance at power unit No. 1. The works performed included the generator actuator rotor replacement, turbine bearings inspection, and repairs of the boiler and forced-draft mechanisms.

This year, the plans include a large-scale program aimed at assessment of the operating efficiency and repairs of the high and low pressure injectors of the boiler units allowing to maintain the set steam parameters in a more precise manner and to increase the metal duration of the power unit's key elements.

Maintenance works at power unit No. 7 and No. 8 of the CCGT were also completed in March. On the 28th of March, after the completion of trial run and adjustments, power unit No. 7 was connected to the power grid. Power unit No. 8 was connected to the power grid on March 31st.

Current repair of power unit No. 5 is scheduled for April 2016, while the overhaul of power unit No. 2 is scheduled to start on the 12th of May, and will take up to 120 days. The repairs will include works associated with the replacement of the hot reheat pipelines and the third extraction steam lines, the metal of which has already exceeded the operational life.

In September, power unit No. 6 will undergo intermediate maintenance, which is planned to take 70 days and will consist of partial replacement of the 2nd stage high pressure convection superheater, some elements of which have also exceeded the allowed limit for the metal life cycle.

All works associated with the maintenance of equipment of power units Nos. 1-6 at Surgutskaya GRES-2 under the 2016 maintenance program are scheduled for completion by the 21st of November.
