(NYSE: OA), a global leader in aerospace and defense technologies, will participate at the 4th USA Science & Engineering Festival April 15-17, 2016 in Washington, D.C.Orbital ATK will be located at Booth 6407 in Hall D, E in the Astronomy and Space Exploration Pavilion. Visitors to the Orbital ATK booth will have an opportunity to interact with Orbital ATK scientists and engineers at various displays that demonstrate the company's capabilities in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) fields.

"This Festival is a great opportunity for students, educators and members of the community to interact with our scientists and engineers and learn about what we do at Orbital ATK and the many real-world applications of STEM."

Orbital ATK will exhibit three hands-on displays at the Festival, including:

  • "Fly Me to the Moon" – participants can launch rockets under constant force with variable payloads
  • "See the World in a Different Light" – students will receive an overview of infrared (IR) sensing technology and its applications to engineering
  • "Special Delivery to Space" – attendees will learn about Orbital ATK’s Cygnus cargo delivery vehicle and the sensors it uses to safely delivery food, clothing and science experiments to the astronauts on board the International Space Station

The event is the nation's largest science festival, with more than 3,000 hands-on activities and exhibits. Event organizers expect more than 350,000 people to attend this year.
