OREANDA-NEWS. AvtoVAZ will fully suspend car production at the Togliatti plant for a week from August 23 because of a shortage of electronic auto details. The company informed about it.

This plant produces popular car models Lada Granta, Xray, Largus and Niva, along with Renault Logan models.

AvtoVAZ is forced to change its production schedule for the working week starting on 23 August. Due to the ongoing shortage of supplies of electronic components Bosch, all three lines for the production of cars at the plant in Togliatti will be stopped throughout the week ... The work schedule for the week, starting on August 30, will be drawn up early next week, "- said in the message.

At the same time, three days of downtime will be declared as vacation days, postponed from December, and the rest will be paid at the rate of 2/3 of the average wage, AvtoVAZ said. "The Lada Izhevsk plant, which uses other components for the assembly of Lada Vesta, will continue to operate in a normal mode," the automaker also noted.

As explained in "AvtoVAZ", some divisions for the production of auto components in Togliatti will work on a special schedule to ensure supplies to Izhevsk and other customers. In general, over the summer, the plant suspended the production of a number of models six times due to a lack of car electronics. Earlier, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation announced that it was working to ensure the supply of auto electronics to AvtoVAZ in order to prevent a shortage of cars.
