OREANDA-NEWS. British carmaker «Jaguar Land Rover» took the path of «climate neutrality» and presented it's new global strategy, called «Reimagine». As part of this plan, the company will make all Jaguar models electric by 2025, and by 2030 it will repeat this with Land Rover.

The first full-fledged Land Rover electric vehicle will appear at car dealers in 2024, after which in 2025 and 2026 it will be joined by five more electric cars from all three families: Range Rover, Discovery and Defender. Thus, by 2030, absolutely all Jaguar Land Rover models will have an electric version, and by 2039, the concern will finally abandon all cars with internal combustion engines.

Finally, by the same strategy, car maker will abandon most platforms, get rid of non-industrial facilities, and raise it's own quality standards. The company is also already working on future fuel-cell vehicles, with the first prototypes set to hit the UK roads by the end of 2021.

Earlier, Audi introduced the production of the electric sedan «Audi e-Tron GT» in two versions. And the founder of the American company «Tesla» Elon Musk asked the administration of the US president to introduce a carbon tax for factories.
