OREANDA-NEWSThe regions of the Far East and the states of the Republic of India will cooperate in the coal, diamond and food industries, the oil and gas sector and engineering. On Monday, five Far Eastern regions and five Indian states signed memoranda of cooperation on the day of the Indian investor in Vladivostok on Monday.

Kamchatka Territory has signed a memorandum of cooperation in the field of coal industry and tourism with the state of Goa. The Trans-Baikal Territory has signed a memorandum of cooperation in agriculture and food industry with the state of Uttar Pradesh. Large gold mining companies in Russia have signed cooperation agreements with Indian partners. A memorandum of cooperation in the oil and gas industry was signed between the Sakhalin region and the state of Haryana, and cooperation in the field of engineering and tourism between the Republic of Buryatia and the state of Maharashtra.

In addition, an agreement to establish a yoga center in Vladivostok was signed by the Far Eastern Federal University and the Amity Indian University. Yuri Trutnev, Deputy Prime Minister, Plenipotentiary Envoy of the President of the Russian Federation in the Eastern District, commissioned to work out the question of the possibility of creating a yoga department on the basis of the Federal University in July this year.

It was previously reported, the V Eastern Economic Forum, to which the day of the Indian investor is timed, will be held on Russky Island in Vladivostok on September 4-6, 2019. It's expected that the main guest of the forum this year will be the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, who was invited by Russian President Vladimir Putin. On the eve of the forum, a delegation of five Indian states headed by the Minister of Trade and Industry of the Republic of India Piyush Goyal arrived in Vladivostok.
