OREANDA-NEWS. Transport Minister Yevgeny Dietrich ordered to prepare a five-year plan for the overhaul of overpasses. According to his estimate, it will take about 330 billion rubles to carry out these works. Of these, 190 billion are willing to finance the regions, the minister said at a board meeting of the department.

He also urged the regions to enter into government contracts more quickly to receive federal subsidies for the repair of roads within the framework of the national project "Safe and high - quality roads". This has not yet been done by 13 regions. "And in the municipalities out of 220 contracts for the transfer of money signed only 38," - said Eugene Dietrich. He pointed out that government contracts for road maintenance and repair should be concluded by May 15.

Over the next five years, Russia will have to build and modernize more than 1,400 kilometers of federal roads, including 690 kilometers of expressways, the minister added. This will reduce the load on existing roads.

However, the task is much wider. In the coming years, Russia may conduct a radical technological transformation of the transport complex, said Deputy Prime Minister Maxim Akimov. Reconstruction and construction of new roads, seaports and airports, along with the introduction of digital technologies, will help make Russians travel more comfortable, and the movement of goods faster. Until 2024, 4.8 trillion rubles will be allocated to the industry as part of the national project.

And according to the Comprehensive Plan for the modernization and expansion of the trunk infrastructure will allocate about seven trillion.

The government will allocate more than 25 billion rubles for the development of regional flights. Air travel to hard to reach regions, in the Far Eastern directions, to Kaliningrad and the Crimea will continue to be subsidized, Yevgeny Dietrich noted. For the renewal of the fleet, three billion rubles are provided for subsidizing air leasing programs. And by 2021, up to 20 million passengers will have to be transported on regional routes.
