OREANDA-NEWS British Prime Minister Boris Johnson has held telephone talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, the office of the head of the British cabinet said, according to Gazeta.ru.

The parties discussed the Ukrainian crisis and "diplomatic efforts" to unblock the export of grain from Ukrainian ports. Johnson and Zelensky agreed to "strengthen work with other allies, including G7 countries" to support the Ukrainian economy and end the conflict in Ukraine.

The British prime minister also confirmed that Britain had provided Ukraine with multiple rocket launchers to "carry out attacks on Russian artillery positions that are used to strike Ukrainian cities".

Earlier, Boris Johnson wrote an open letter to members of his Conservative Party faction in Parliament, where he asked for support during the evening vote on a vote of no confidence, in particular mentioning support for Ukraine.
