OREANDA-NEWS Marlboro has again become the most expensive tobacco brand in the world. This is evidenced by the rating made by the consulting company Brand Financе, writes Interfax.

The value of Marlboro brand, which belongs to Philip Morris International, was estimated at $36.28 billion versus $35.57 billion a year earlier. The brand is in the lead with a huge advantage over its competitors.

The second place in the ranking of the most expensive tobacco brands was occupied by L&M with the value of $6.85 billion. The third place was taken by Pall Mall brand with the value of $6.82 billion. The fourth place was taken by the brand of snuff and chewing tobacco Copenhagen with value of $3.85 billion. The fifth place was taken by Camel brand. This brand was valued at $ 3.8 billion.

The top 10 tobacco brands also included Winston, Rothmans, Chesterfield, Kent and Newport. The company writes that roughly 90% of all tobacco brands in the world in terms of value come from American companies. Another 5% are Japanese and British brands.
