OREANDA-NEWS  The road map of cooperation between Russia and China in the field of science and technology was signed by the presidents of the academies of science of the two countries Alexander Sergeev and Bai Chunli, July 19, TASS reports.

According to the report, the Chinese side expressed interest in exploring the Arctic together with Russian colleagues in order to ensure uninterrupted navigation along the Northern Sea Route and preserve the region’s wilderness.

Also, Chinese scientists offer joint research in the field of studying the ocean floor, super-power lasers and the human brain.

In addition, China would like to take part in the construction and operation of the collider at the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research in Russian Dubna. The construction of the collider has been underway since 2016 as part of the NICA project, its trial launch is planned for this year, in 2019.
