OREANDA-NEWSIn the first seven months of 2019, Russian manufacturers have increased the export of a number of alcoholic beverages many times, according to a report from the Analytical Center under the Government of Russia for October 2019. The first to pay attention to it was the Russian media.

Despite the fact that the export volume of some alcoholic beverages fell, the growth was ensured by the export from the country of drinks based on grape wine and grapes. In physical volume, their exports grew 15 times. At the same time, the value of exports grew only 2.3 times and amounted to $ 1.49 million. The largest increase was recorded in the export of cognac - by 14.8 times compared to the same period in 2018. It accounts for almost the entire export volume of alcoholic beverages from this category. Whiskey from Russia began to export 2.9 times more (in monetary terms - an increase of 39%, to $ 227 thousand).

Exports of other alcoholic beverages increased by 38.9% in physical volume and by 21.8% in value, amounting to $ 8.09 million. The main consumers of Russian wine are Ukraine (51.6% of the export volume), China (11.5%) and Kazakhstan (9.8%). Vodka from Russia is mainly supplied to the UK, Germany and Ukraine, and beer - to Ukraine, Kazakhstan and Belarus.
