OREANDA-NEWS. The Russian metallurgical company «VSMPO-Avisma Corporation» has signed a long-term contract for the supply of titanium products for the American aircraft manufacturer «Boeing». Russian-made titanium forgings will be used for the 737, 767, 777 and 787 Dreamliner models. In addition, the suppliers of «Boeing» and the company itself will receive titanium rolled products.

Earlier, it was reported that the US Department of Commerce published a list of 103 companies from China and Russia associated with the armed forces, which will be subject to export restrictions. In total, the list includes 45 Russian companies and 58 enterprises from China, including the Russian corporation «Rostec», «MiG», «Sukhoi Civil Aircraft», «Tupolev», «United Aircraft Corporation» and others.

Known, that the sanctions imposed by the United States will not affect the production process, said the company-manufacturer of titanium «VSMPO-Avisma». They noted, that according to the latest changes in US legislation, the use of American technologies requires the consent of Washington. However, only Russian technologies are used in the production of titanium at «VSMPO-Avisma », so the US sanctions will not have any impact.
