OREANDA-NEWS. Russian truck-maker KAMAZ began producing protective suits and masks for medical workers at its plants.

This was reported on the company’s website. “Sewing workshops are open at each plant, about 50 people are engaged in the manufacture of protective equipment,” the message says. It is added that anti-epidemic kits will be supplied to the hospitals of the city of Naberezhnye Chelny free of charge. KAMAZ intends to produce about 5 thousand protective suits by April 9, while the need of the city, according to their estimates, is 3 thousand.

The company’s management clarified that these products had not been certified, and this procedure will take almost six months. The mayor of Naberezhnye Chelny Nail Magdeev replied that during a critical situation there is no time to figure out whether the products are certified or not.
