OREANDA-NEWS Gazprom Energoholding LLC (GEH) has been negotiating for ten years to buy a Siemens stake in Siemens Gas Turbines Technologies, negotiations have not been ongoing for a long time, the company does not exclude that Siemens representatives "just led the Russian partners around by the nose", Denis Fedorov, CEO of GEH, told reporters.

"We were negotiating for a certain period of time, we were thinking of organizing joint projects for the production of gas turbines. But given the current situation, we can say that we made this machine ourselves, and we have been negotiating with Siemens for ten years", Fedorov said.

"After a certain period of time, the events that are now taking place show that most likely we were simply led around by the nose. They just did not give us the elements for the hot part", he added.

Siemens Gas Turbines Technologies is a joint venture of Siemens (65%) and Power Machines (35%). The German concern considered both exiting the joint venture and buying out Power Machines' share in the enterprise. In 2019, the GEH stated that it could consider acquiring a 50% stake in SGTT. However, in the spring of 2021, Fedorov said that the company considers it inexpedient to purchase a stake in a joint venture in the form in which the enterprise operates today.

In mid-February 2022, Pavel Shatsky, First Deputy General Director of the GEH, noted that Gazenergoservice (part of Gazprom Energoholding LLC) is negotiating with Siemens on organizing the production of blades for large gas turbines at the company's existing facilities in Naro-Fominsk.
