OREANDA-NEWS. Tele2, an alternative mobile operator, has launched a special customer service line in Chinese for Moscow Region subscribers. The company earlier started providing this service to its clients from St. Petersburg, Leningrad and Irkutsk regions, the Republic of Buryatia and the Far East.

After studying call centre statistics, Tele2 started providing services in Chinese: Chinese natives account for most queries arriving from foreigners not speaking English.

The number of such queries in Chinese increased 35%. According to statistics, around 54% of requests regard roaming and conditions of calls to China. Over 30% of queries are dedicated to tariffs and 14% − to the Tele2 branded equipment.

The Tele2 Chinese line was launched in test mode several months ago and has already proved itself as being in great demand. The call centre in Irkutsk is processing all subscribers’ queries in Chinese.

Special line not only has an IVR system in Chinese – there are also Chinese-speaking consultants in the call centre. In order to get help, the Tele2 subscriber just needs to dial 888 where he will get detailed information on the company’s tariffs and its service "Simple geography" for profitable calls to China. Clients may ask questions to Chinese-speaking operators by dialing 0. All SMS with additional information are also in Chinese.

Natalya Loshkareva, customer service chief at Tele2:

"We see the number of Chinese citizens growing among our users that is why Tele2 is seeking to improve customer experience for them. For Chinese natives, we have not only launched an IVR system, but also trained Chinese-speaking operators: they may consult subscribers on all products and services, solve any issues or choose a useful tariff or option. A launch of a separate line in Chinese for Moscow Region subscribers will make the use of Tele2 services even more convenient for this group of clients."

Tele2 clients may also get consultation in English by dialing 611.
