OREANDA-NEWS. Tele2, an alternative mobile operator, has supported the third charity duck race organized by the Reach for Change foundation for social initiatives to solve childhood problems. All funds raised at the event will be donated to the projects aiming to support children in Russian regions.

The third charity duck festival took place in Vorontsovskiy Park in Moscow on 28 May 2016. The goal of the charity duck race is to raise funds for the Reach for Change foundation. The organization is aiming to support social programs and draw attention to initiatives of social entrepreneurs in Russia.

Over 2100 yellow rubber ducks and several thousand supporters of social entrepreneurship took part in the event. Apart from residents of Moscow and other Russian cities, the event was supported by commercial companies who registered fleets of ducks for their employees.

On the day of the event, all registered ducks floated off to the park’s central pond and rushed to the finish along a cordoned off route under a stream shot by a water cannon.

The competition was tough, three winners arrived to the finish first. Owners of ducks under numbers 1410, 2552 and 1041 have received Tele2 gifts: Samsung Galaxy A3, two SIMs with double vanity numbers and starter balance of 1000 rubles. The company has also awarded owners of 15 other randomly chosen sportsmen and the duck that crossed the finish line last.
