OREANDA-NEWS. The father of the Russian who disappeared in Turkey said that new mysterious details appeared in the case. He told about them in an interview to the "360" TV channel.

The man noted that a local resident named Vladimir contacted him. An eyewitness, together with his wife, saw the missing Makar Ragin in the shopping area of Buyukada Island (Princes' Islands).

“According to them, he looked unlike either a local resident or a tourist, standing with an absent gaze near a stand with glasses and caps,” the student's father added.

Ragin Sr. also said that law enforcement agencies were able to establish from the records of outdoor video surveillance cameras that on July 28 Makar was walking to the ferry.

The tourist's father really believes that his son could have reached Buyukade, since he was originally going to visit this place. After his disappearance, the student's phone was available for two more days, messages reached, but were not read.

Nevertheless, the man clarified that, according to eyewitnesses, "it is not yet clear" whether this man was his son or not. The Russian gave information from local residents to the investigator in the case and to the police, who, according to him, began to examine the cameras from the shopping area.

It is reported that the consulate, local police and lawyers are helping in the search for the Russian. The FOX TV team also launched the campaign.

It is recalled that a 20-year-old resident of St. Petersburg Makar Ragin disappeared in Istanbul on August 1. At the hotel where he lived, they said that things, a laptop and documents were found in his room. CCTV cameras recorded the tourist when he was leaving the Coskun House Hotel, but he did not return to spend the night. The student flew to Turkey on the night of July 16. He was supposed to board a return plane on the evening of July 29 and fly to Vilnius.
