OREANDA-NEWS. A team of Google Project Zero security analysts discovered malware websites on the iPhone.  The attack on the "apple" users has already been called one of the largest.

“A simple visit to an infected site was enough for an operating server to attack your device, and if it was successfully hacked, install a program that tracks your actions. We estimate that thousands of people visited these sites every week,” wrote Project Project Zero researcher Jan  Beer.

The attacks were carried out using sites that secretly installed malware to collect contacts, images and other data from device owners.

A Google analysis showed that sites trapped were said to be visited thousands of times a week.  Also at risk were user data in the Instagram, WhatsApp and Telegram applications.
