OREANDA-NEWS. The magistrate of the Tagansky Court of Moscow fined American IT corporation Google 1.5 million roubles (about 20 thousand US dollars) for insufficient filtering of content prohibited in Russia. What content is in question is not specified.

“Google LLC was found by the magistrate of the Tagansky District Court of Moscow guilty of an administrative offense and was punished with an administrative fine in the amount of 1.5 million roubles,” the press secretary of the court, Zulfiya Gurinchuk, told Interfax. The American company was found guilty under the article on repeated failure by the search engine operator to stop issuing, at the request of users, information about resources, access to which is restricted in Russia.

Google often becomes a subject of lawsuits in different countries. For example, in June in the USA, the company was accused of violating the privacy of users by tracking their actions on the Internet even when they open windows in incognito mode.
