OREANDA-NEWS. Russians who have installed a VPN may not even notice a possible blocking of YouTube, Viner Khafizov, a YouTube promotion specialist and founder of the VinerMedia agency, told Lenta.ru. According to him, the means to bypass blocking are used to forget about the hell "that Roskomnadzor, Mizulina and the Prosecutor General's Office creates."

Slow down YouTube, of course, perhaps Instagram slowed down (activities are prohibited in Russia) or, as they say, blocked. But what will it lead to? It may slow down when viewing, when opening, but most people who need Internet resources have already downloaded VPNs and similar services, and even if YouTube is declared blocked, they may not notice it, Khafizov said.

He added that those who do not install a VPN can slow down YouTube, block all sites, or turn off the Internet altogether.

Earlier it was reported that warnings about the possibility of an imminent shutdown of YouTube in Russia sound at an increasingly high level. Claims to the work of the popular service have already been expressed many times by Roskomnadzor. And according to the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, by blocking the Duma TV channel, “YouTube, apparently, signed its own verdict.”

In turn, the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov admitted that he had installed a VPN service for himself. He noted that in Russia it is not prohibited.
