OREANDA-NEWS. Roskomnadzor requires Google to take measures to prevent threats against Russians in its services, in particular, in the Google.Translate translator. This was reported on the website of the department.

“Roskomnadzor sent a request to the American IT company Google LLC to immediately take measures to exclude threats against Russian users from the company’s services,” Roskomnadzor said in a statement.

The publication notes that a violation of an extremist nature was detected in the operation of the Google.Translate service. The specified service, when entering the phrase “dear Russians” (dear Russians) for translation, offered Russian users to replace it with a translation of the phrase “dead Russians” (dead Russians).

Earlier, Roskomnadzor demanded to restore access to the YouTube channel of the State Duma.

Prior to this, Roskomnadzor said that Google and its YouTube video hosting have been pursuing an anti-Russian policy since the beginning of the Ukrainian crisis, blocking Russian resources. The agency recorded about 60 acts of censorship against the pages of the Russian media, educational film projects, public figures and organizations.
