OREANDA-NEWSThe Digital Technologies Working Group of the Digital Economy Autonomous Non-Profit Organization has approved a roadmap for wireless technologies. According to the project, by 2024 it is planned to create 25 pilot 5G zones based on domestic equipment, the ANO said. According to the organization, the review of materials was held on June 25 at the site of the Ministry of Communications of the Russian Federation.

The Working Group on Digital Technologies at ANO Digital Economy generally approved a roadmap on wireless technologies, submitting comments for refinement in working order. For example, the map provides that the share of subscribers using 5G network services in the Russian Federation will be more than 10%, while 25 pilot areas with mobile communications of the fifth generation will be created on the basis of the developed domestic equipment ", - stressed in the ANO.

Earlier, the working group also approved road maps on quantum technologies, virtual and augmented reality (AR/VR), artificial intelligence and a distributed registry (blockchain), new production technologies, and on robotics and sensor technology. Thus, they explained in ANO Digital Economy, a roadmap on wireless technologies, including the development of new generation communication networks (5G), was the last of seven roadmap on end-to-end technologies developed as part of the federal project Digital Technologies of the national project "Digital Economy of the Russian Federation".

In total, the national project "Digital Economy" identifies nine "end-to-end" digital technologies that are considered the most promising and leading to radical changes in existing markets and the emergence of new ones. In particular, these are big data processing methods, wireless communication technologies (including 5G), virtual and augmented reality technologies (VR and AR), distributed registry systems (blockchain), quantum technologies, new production technologies, industrial Internet , components of robotics and sensorics, neurotechnology and artificial intelligence.
