OREANDA-NEWS. The Chinese company ZTE on Monday launched the sale of its first smartphone with support for 5G communications technology - Axon 10 Pro. This is stated in a statement published on the social network WeChat. On July 23, ZTE began pre-selling phones at a price of 4,999 yuan (about $ 722). As reported, the company is negotiating with the largest retail chains in China, and also plans to sell the Axon 10 Pro in official ZTE stores.

The device is equipped with the latest Snapdragon 855 octa-core processor with 6 GB of RAM, running on the Android 9.0 Pie operating system. The amount of internal memory is 128 GB, while the smartphone is equipped with a microSD card slot with a capacity of up to 512 GB. The battery capacity is 4 thousand milliampere-hours.

In July of this year, the first eight models of smartphones for fifth-generation mobile communications received quality certificates in China, which gave them the opportunity to enter the Chinese market. Huawei introduced four models, the remaining four certificates received Chinese manufacturers Oppo, Vivo, ZTE and One Plus.

But, some experts are skeptical, for example, Huawei founder Ren Zhengfei said that this year the company will put about 600,000 Mate 20 X 5G units on the market. Next year, a volume of 1.5 million units is planned. These are very small indicators for Huawei. For example, in March, the company revealed the total supply of smartphones of the Mate 20 series, and it turned out to be equal to 10 million devices. Huawei thinks realistically. Third-party analysts are also confident that, until 2021, one shouldn't expect growth in sales of devices supporting 5G. Everything is logical: until the network infrastructure is developed at a sufficient level, devices will not be popular.
