OREANDA-NEWS. A working meeting between Alexey Miller, Chairman of the Gazprom Management Committee, and Janos Balla, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Hungarian Republic to the Russian Federation, took place at the Company's headquarters today.

The parties discussed the current state and future development of the gas market in southeastern Europe, taking into account the implementation of the Nord Stream 2 and TurkStream projects.

The meeting also touched on Russian gas supplies to Hungary.

In 2015, Russian gas exports to Hungary totaled 6.14 billion cubic meters, rising 15.2 per cent versus 2014.

Nord Stream 2 is the project for the construction of a transit-free export gas pipeline with the annual capacity of 55 billion cubic meters running from Russia to Germany across the Baltic Sea.
