OREANDA-NEWS. Within the scope of the modernisation of its central control system for Gazprom's general gas transmission system in the Russian Federation, PAO Gazprom has accepted delivery of the core software supplied by PSI. Gazprom had decided to modernise its central dispatching system using a solution based on the PSI software. A respective tender was won jointly by PAO Gazprom avtomatizatsiya and PSI. Accordingly, PSI supplied several software components for the central management level and for the 27 subsidiaries of Gazprom. The delivered software was specially adapted and enhanced to meet Gazprom's requirements. Approval has now been granted for productive testing of the overall system.

Alongside the software components that were all adapted and enhanced to meet Gazprom's requirements (PSIcontrol/CPDD, PSItransport, PSIcomcentre and PSIlvisserver for the central management level as well as PSIcontrol/CPDDconnect and PSIcomcentre for the subordinate 27 Gazprom subsidiaries), the order also included services in the areas of system project planning, system engineering, and commissioning of the overall system. The system is currently in the productive testing phase.

Using the PSI product line specially developed for the gas industry, Gazprom is creating a state-of-the-art, highly efficient and hierarchically structured gas management system with which Gazprom's entire general gas transmission system in the Russian Federation is monitored and managed. The main high-pressure grid is currently around 160,000 km long and is by far the biggest gas grid in the world. It extends from the Far East via Siberia to the western and southern borders of the Russian Federation.

In its role as general contractor and system integrator, PAO Gazprom avtomatizatsiya is responsible for realising the entire project. PSI furthermore provides Gazprom avtomatizatsiya with planning support when developing the system solutions and is responsible for training the engineers at Gazprom avtomatizatsiya so that they have the necessary project-specific expertise for the deployed PSI software. PAO Gazprom avtomatizatsiya and PSI's Gas & Oil division have worked together for many years and this led to the companies signing a partnership agreement in 2009. This successful partnership gave rise to the establishment of a joint venture at the end of 2016, which provided the framework for the creation of a new product generation for PAO Gazprom.

On the basis of its own software products, PSI AG develops and integrates complete solutions for energy management (gas, oil, electricity, heat, energy trading), production management (mining, metals, automotive, mechanical engineering, logistics) and infrastructure management for transport and safety. PSI was founded in 1969 and employs 1,600 persons worldwide.
