OREANDA-NEWS. To ensure reliable and uninterrupted operation of electric grid facilities in the weekends and holidays from 31 December to 8 January IDGC of Centre is switching to an enhanced mode of operation. The company has organized the around the clock duty, set special supervision of electrical equipment and power lines.

The company has taken all the necessary measures to ensure uninterrupted power supply to consumers. 31 December Grid Control Centres and technical services, operational staff and maintenance crews will be on a special operation mode. To avoid interruption of power supply of consumers in the New Year’s holidays the most reliable power supply circuit has been prepared: all kinds of planned work on the existing equipment of electric grid facilities have been suspended. For immediate conducting of first responding and restoration operations special equipment, tools, materials and means of protection have been prepared, emergency reserve has been checked and is ready to use.

Beforehand, on the eve of the holidays, to prevent breakdowns in electricity supply to consumers IDGC of Centre’s specialists checked the technical condition of equipment and emergency control means, provision of the emergency reserve with materials, availability of backup power sources to be used. Additional measures were taken to enhance fire safety, inspection of fire state of industrial and amenity premises, auxiliary and ancillary buildings, mobile repair workshops and crew vehicles was performed.
