OREANDA-NEWS.  Gazprom Neft has reaffirmed its compliance with ISO 14001:2015 international standards in environmental management following a repeat audit of key management and production processes — essential every three years for certification to remain in force — conducted by the Russian Register Certification Association*.

The ISO 14001 international standard governs ecological and environmental management, with the award of these certificates confirming Gazprom Neft’s compliance with international best practice in environmental protection. Improvements to its environmental management system have seen Gazprom Neft make the transition from implementing corrective initiatives to a system involving environmental risk assessment and the implementation of preventative measures to highlight potential environmental impacts from industrial activities.

Assessment and analysis of environmental management systems at Gazprom Neft PJSC were undertaken by the Russian Register Certification Association as part of an audit for the recertification of the company’s compliance with ISO 14001:2015 requirements. A commitment to the principle of continuous improvement has, in recent years, allowed Gazprom Neft not just to improve the structure and organisation of ecological initiatives, but also to implement new and effective methods of managing environmental protection activities.

The Russian Register Certification Association is one of the most important independent agencies for the certification of management systems. Certificates issued by Russian Register receive international endorsement from the Dutch Accreditation Council (the RvA, a member of the International Accreditation Forum, IAF) and IQNet, an international network of partner certification bodies.
