OREANDA-NEWS. Repair crews of a branch of IDGC of Centre are quickly restoring electricity supply of areas affected by anomalous thunderstorm activity. The storm front, which covered the night before and last night Central Russia, caused power interruptions in a number of regions. The area of ??abnormal natural phenomena also included regions where IDGC of Centre operates, in particular - the Orel, Bryansk, Kursk and Belgorod regions: covered by thunderstorms, heavy rains and squally winds a number of their settlements were de-energized.

IDGC of Centre responded to the situation immediately. The branches, which reported damaged electrical equipment and power lines, were put on high alert mode. The process of elimination of technological violations was immediately taken under control by the crisis management centre of IDGC of Centre. Similar centres were formed in the branches. More than a hundred mobile crews, equipped with necessary equipment and special means, began restoring power supply promptly. If necessary, to help them crews from neighbouring regions of the service area of IDGC of Centre were getting ready to move. In the first place, including with the use of temporary circuits, social facilities were resupplied being de-energized in the area of outages.

Currently, most interruptions in a number of the branches have already been eliminated. Active restoration work is underway on the hardest-hit sections of overhead lines, where poles fell and wires got broken - it is being performed by additional forces and means of repair crews of IDGC of Centre. The crisis management centres are in constant interaction with territorial units of EMERCOM and executive authorities. The energy company is planning to complete the restoration work within a day.
