OREANDA-NEWS. The volume of electricity output of JSC TGC-1, including PJSC Murmanskaya CHPP, in 1Н 2016 increased by 8.3% YoY to total 14,740.3 kWh.

At the same time electricity production by HPPs of JSC TGC-1 in the reporting period increased by 8.5% to make 6,638.8 million kWh due to market conditions and higher water content in all the branches of JSC TGC-1, compared to the previous year. Electricity generation by CHPPs over the first six months of 2016 increased by 8.2% to make 8,101.5 million kWh.

In 1Н 2016 operation of the new energy efficient capacities allowed to reduce an average specific fuel equivalent consumption for electricity output in the Company by 20.6% to make 207.0 g/kWh.

JSC TGC-1 is continuously implementing the programs to improve the efficiency of its operations, including optimisation of production capacity utilisation by selecting better energy efficient options. Upon results of 1Н 2016 output of the new units increased by 16.2.% to make 3,365.4 million kWh, that is 22.8% of the total JSC TGC-1 output and 41.5% of CHPP output.

The Company's total overall installed electric capacity utilisation factor increased by 4.6 percentage points vs 1Н 2016 to make 48.5%.

Electricity sales increased by 5% in the reporting period due to the growing demand for electricity under regulated contracts. Capacity sales increased by 39% due to the significant growth in capacity sales at the competitive capacity auction by 77%, as well as growing demand for capacity under regulated contract.
